Khan Tengri Peak, Karakol & Tuzkol Lakes — Multi-Day Jeep Expedition

This is Wildtour's most remote and challenging route — a multi-day private expedition deep into the central Tien Shan mountains, to the base of Khan Tengri and two high-altitude lakes that see fewer than a hundred visitors per year.

What you'll experience: Khan Tengri (7,010 meters) is one of the most beautiful peaks in Central Asia — a nearly perfect pyramid of ice and rock straddling the border between Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and China. You won't summit it, but you'll reach the base camp area used by mountaineering expeditions, surrounded by glaciers and alpine silence. Karakol Lakes are a chain of glacial lakes at varying elevations, each with different mineral content that gives them distinct colors — from emerald green to deep blue. Tuzkol is a high-altitude salt lake with stark, almost lunar scenery around it.

Why Wildtour: This route demands serious off-road capability and expedition-grade logistics. Roads disappear entirely in sections — navigation is by GPS and terrain reading. Your luxury 4x4 (Land Cruiser or Land Rover) is fully equipped for extreme conditions. Camping is included, with all gear provided. Meals are prepared over open fire throughout. Starlink provides connectivity even in the most isolated valleys.
